SUMMARY
Leads the execution and implementation of a comprehensive digital strategy for designing and enhancing the online member experience in coordination with the Director of IT & Web Development. By leveraging a strong web development background, this individual will lead the design and development of web architectures that use modern coding techniques that are maintainable and scalable. Manages the web development team and the corresponding digital platforms, ensures a high degree of cross functional communication and collaboration. Maintains a strong sense of ownership and accountability with a commitment to delivering quality outcomes that balance technical and business goals. Solves problems for the team by taking initiative and being resourceful. Comes to the table with a broad knowledge base around web-based and digital products.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Leads the development and implementation of a comprehensive digital strategy for designing and enhancing the online member experience.
- Oversees an innovative, collaborative, multi-disciplinary team to produce exceptional digital products that enhance the member experience.
- Delivers committed projects on time and of high quality. Helps projects to be successful by taking on development tasks when appropriate and helping developers work through challenging technical issues.
- Responsible for planning and executing back-end solutions that are scalable, maintainable, modern, and of high quality. Ensures back-end solutions align with the front-end architecture and the Association Management System.
- Works with Director to create and execute technical roadmaps to deliver content and capabilities aligned with organizational priorities.
- Leads the development of UX designs and web page wireframes, ensuring a user-centered approach.
- Maintains and optimizes Wordpress platforms to ensure high performance and security.
- Facilitates daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective meetings. Sets clear expectations, prioritizes activities, and follows through to completion.
- Coordinates regular web release schedules, overseeing the deployment process and ensuring proper testing, documentation and communication before and after each release.
- Identifies and establishes performance targets of the team.
- Collaborates with IT, Marketing, Meetings, Professional Development, and other key stakeholders to provide detailed task breakdowns and assessments for projects.
- Ensures web developers are following best practices, development standards, and delivering high quality solutions with minimal bugs.
- Collaborates with the Director and senior team members to assign the right person to each project based on skillset and adjusts resources accordingly as project needs change.
- Reports to the Executive Team and the Board of Directors on project progress.
- Provides direction for development of new products, technologies, and initiatives.
- Collaborates effectively across business lines and fosters a department known for teamwork and collaboration across business lines
- Conducts regular one-on-one and team meetings
- Reviews selections on bids for contracted projects and provides recommendations as necessary.
- Partners with the leadership team in driving a high-performance culture.
- Develops processes for cross-functional skills development within the team.
- Engages in continuous self-improvement, including participation in continuing education, conferences, etc. and encourages their team to do the same.
- Delegate responsibilities appropriately and effectively, while developing direct reports.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- A minimum of 3 years of experience managing, leading, and coaching a team of developers
- Advanced knowledge of .NET Framework, .NET-based CMS platforms (Kentico a plus), MVC, and SQL
- Exceptional analytical, problem solving skills and critical thinking
- Scrum Master with experience working in Agile development process and a good understanding of various phases of Software Development Lifecycle
- Intermediate understanding of Azure Cloud Computing and security
- Minimum of 3 years of experience using Azure DevOps practices and tools
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented individual with a passion for delivering high-quality projects
- Strong ability in identifying and addressing performance and scalability issues
- Dedicated to the creation of websites that optimize the user experience
- Personify experience a plus, but not required
