The Executive Committee met to develop a strategic plan for UCA, outlining the major goals and objectives. This document presents the strategic plan for review by the members of UCA.
Where We Are Today
UCA has an active membership of approximately 1,100, including registered members, professionals, and students. There are currently two student chapters. Membership has been growing consistently since 2006. The vision of the UCA is stated as: Underground space improves the quality of life. UCA currently provides the following services:

Hosting two to three conferences per year, in various cities with ongoing underground projects.

Acting as the accredited U.S. delegate to the International Tunnelling and Underground Space Association (ITA).

Promoting the use of underground space to public agencies and private organizations within the U.S.

Publishing technical books on various technical aspects of underground construction.

Publishing Tunneling and Underground Construction, a quarterly magazine directed at the practitioners in the underground construction industry.
