Bob Goodfellow, founder and President of Aldea Services, shares his journey in the world of tunneling and geotechnics, tracing his roots from studying civil engineering at Imperial College, to working on the Jubilee Line Extension in London, and eventually moving to the US in 1997 to work on the Washington Metro. Bob explains his fascination with tunneling, where the ground is not only beneath but above you, describing it as "the ultimate in geotechnical engineering." He also talks about the impact UCA has throughout his career, emphasizing the importance of events like UCA conferences and committees for building personal networks.
